Chicken Shish Tawook or chicken shish taouk is a popular meal of small cubes of tender chicken breast meat pieces that is usually marinated for at least 4 hours with heavily warmed and flavored with Middle-Eastern shish tawook mix seasoning. Then it's skewered with metal or wooden skewers with pieces of fresh onions, fresh peppers and fresh tomato. Chicken shish tawook (taouk) is usually cooked on outside grill, and it can be served with pita bread or wheat tortilla and delicious side dishes such as; Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, salads, French fries, yellow rice or white rice.

recipe shish tawook can be prepared and cooked at home by slicing the chicken breast meat into small slices and season it with Tahoon – Shish Tawook Seasoning as recommended below and cook it in a stove-top pan.
1 lb. Chicken Breast
1 tbsp. Olive oil
½ tbsp. Tahoon - Shish Tawook Seasoning Add To Cart 🛒
4 Pcs. Fresh Yellow Onions - Small Size
4 Pcs. Firm Fresh Ripe Tomatoes
1 Pc. Fresh Green Bell Pepper
1 Pc. Fresh Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Pc. Fresh Red Bell Pepper
1 Pc. Fresh Orange Bell Pepper
¼ tsp. Salt - to your preference
Place the chicken breast on meat cutting board and start cutting it into dices, about 1 ½ (one and half) inch long and 1 inch wide using sharp knife.
Put the cutting chicken breast dices in a bowl and drizzle 1 tbsp. olive oil on top and mix well. Sprinkle ½ (half) tbsp. Tahoon - Shish Tawook Seasoning or (season as desired) then sprinkle ¼ (quarter) tsp. salt or (to your preference) and mix it all together well and cover it and let it marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.
Do NOT Refrigerates the seasoned chicken breast after marinating.
Grab all color bell pepper and cut them into half, then cut them into small squares slices and place it into a bowl.
Start skewer the cubed chicken breast, skewer 1 cube chicken then 1 slice color pepper, repeat this until reach 4 pieces of chicken per one skewer, then place it on try (to grill later).
Peel the onions then cut it in half around the middle and skewer it and place it on a tray (to grill later).
Grab the tomatoes and cut them into half around the middle and skewer it and place it on same tray (to grill later).

You can use kitchen grill pan or outside grill to cook it.- Kitchen Grill Pan steps:
Preheat the kitchen grill pan and leave it to warm for a few minutes, then start placing the chicken breast shish tawook meat skewers on the pan and keep them cooking on each side for a few seconds then begin rotating the skewers until it cooked to your preference. At the same time, place the onion and tomato skewers and grill it on each side for about 2 minutes until the onion gets a golden tone and tomatoes become cooked. Begin rotating the onion and tomatoes skewers until completely grilled, Enjoy!- Outside Grill steps:
Preheat the outside grill, use a fine grill grate if you can (it will make it much easier to cook). Start placing the chicken breast shish tawook meat skewers on the grill and keep them grilling on each side for a few seconds then start rotating the skewers until it cooked to your preference. At the same time, place the onion and tomato skewers and grill it on each side for about 2 minutes until the onion gets a golden tone and tomatoes become cooked.
