How To Make BEEF SHUNK WITH VEGETABLE Using TAHOON - BAHARAT MIX SPICE;

Flavor-rich beef shanks join with earthy mushrooms, onion, carrots and tomato sauce in this comfort food fantasy. Often, thin cross cut beef shanks are labeled "beef soup bones". It’s is cooked in a clay pot with whole chickpeas, basmati rice and unpeeled garlic cloves. It is usually served with yogurt, chopped green salad on the side.

Beef Shanks dish is is very popular and part of the traditional food in Britain, Australia, American and some Asia countries. The beef shank meat is the leg portion of a steer or heifer. It’s the corresponding cuts of beef are the shin (the foreshank), and the leg (the hindshank). Due to the constant use of this muscle by the animal, it tends to be tough, dry, and sinewy, so is best when cooked for a long time in moist heat. It is an ideal cut to use for beef bourguignon. As it is very lean, it is widely used to prepare very low-fat ground beef. Beef shank can be sold from butchers as gravy beef for bone-less shanks.

Beef shanks dish paired with Tahoon – Baharat Mix Spice and it will be hard to resist the savory aroma that hits your nose when you use it.

Tahoon - Baharat Mix Spice is a mix of five spices that contains allspice, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and black pepper which it will adds depth and flavor to the beef shanks dish.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb.        Beef Shanks (Cross Cut) each cut about 1 inch thick  

2 Cans   Condensed tomato sauce, (each one 10 Oz.) 

4 Pcs.     Large Carrots

8 Pcs.     Fresh Yellow Onions - Small Size

1 Can     Sliced Mushroom       

1 Pc.       Fresh Green Hot Pepper (if you would like it spice)

2 tbsp.    Olive Oil                                                                                                 

1 tbsp.    Tahoon - Baharat Mix Spice Add To Cart 🛒

1 tbsp.    Sugar                                                                              

1 tbsp.    Salt - to your preference

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1

Grab a bowl and place the meat shanks in the bowl, then add 2 tbsp. olive oil to the meat and sprinkle about ½ (half) tbsp. Tahoon – Baharat Mix Spice or (to your preference ) on top of it then mix it well together, leave it for about 10 minutes.

STEP 2

Open the condensed tomato sauce cans and put the condensed tomato soup into a bowl.

STEP 3

Grape the 4 carrots and start peeling it with vegetable peeler then slice it for small slices and put it in bowl.

STEP 4

Grape the 8 onions, start peeling it and put it in bowl.

STEP 5

Open the sliced mushroom can then drain the mushroom water into the sink and place it into a bowl.      

STEP 6

Grape the green hot pepper and place it in a small dish and start slice it very thin slices.

STEP 7

Grab a large frying pan; place it on the stove at medium heat for about 2 minutes, then place the meat shanks mix with olive oil into the frying pan and start stir it for a about 1 minute until meat shanks gets golden brown color, then remove it from the pan and place it into a bowl.

STEP 8

Put the onion into the same pan used for frying the meat (Do NOT wash it and keep same grease left over) and place the pan on the stove at medium heat and stat staring it until the onions are tender and get golden color, then place the sliced carrots on top of the onion and start stair it for about 1 minute, then place the sliced green hot pepper and the sliced mushroom on top of onion and carrots then start mixing it all together, then sprinkle the ½ (halftbsp. Tahoon – Baharat mix spice or (to your preference ) on top of all mix and start staring all the mix for about 1 minute until all gets tenders.

STEP 9

Grab a large cooking pan; place it on the stove at medium heat and start putting the meat into the cooking pan, then put the precooked mix vegetable (onions, carrots and mushrooms) over the meat, then put the condensed tomato sauce, then add ½ (one and halfcup of water and sprinkle the salt or (to your preference) on top of the mix, keep the mix on medium heat until sauce start boiling, then put the 1 tbsp. sugar on top of all mix and soup, and start staring it then cover the cooking pan with its led cover, and reduce to low heat and keep the cooking pan for about 1 hr. or until the beef shanks meat cooked.
